Write to me

A plain email is best. Tell me what the drawing is for, roughly when you need it and what you have in mind, and I will reply within two working days.

The four questions most commissions start with.

How are plates priced and licensed?
Each plate is quoted on size, detail and how it will be used. The quote covers the agreed use; wider or longer use is licensed separately, and the original sheet stays with me unless we agree otherwise.
How long does a plate take?
A single plate takes one to two weeks from pencil to scan. Full sets for a book are planned across a season, with a first batch of pencils for approval before any ink.
Can I buy the originals?
Some. Originals from personal work and older commissions are listed with the prints. Commissioned originals become available once the client's exclusivity period has passed.
What should I send?
The subject list, the sizes you need, where the work will appear and your deadline. Reference photographs help; a specimen helps more.
